Amuzin Comedy is an independent live comedy venture run by local comedian and promoter Matt Lake, bringing fantastic professional stand-up comedy to Chesterfield and the surrounding communities.

Built on years of experience organising and performing at comedy nights, Amuzin is all about creating brilliant nights out with great comedians, welcoming venues and affordable ticket prices.

There’s a personal story behind how Amuzin came about, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to support us and local live comedy.

Company Information

Amuzin Comedy is a trading name of REJEN Ltd, a company limited by shares, registered in England under company number 17072945 and governed by the Companies Act 2006.

REJEN Ltd is also registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller. We are committed to protecting personal information and handling all personal data in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

Normally an event will last for 2-3 hours including any intervals and delays. Overall we tend to get things rolling pretty quickly so be sure to arrive early to ensure you have time to buy drinks, snacks, find a seat and mingle.

All of our Comedy Clubs run to similar schedules with an MC introducing acts, support then headline. Sometimes depending on the size of the Venue or Audience the order of events can change. Be prepared for a totally fluid evening, with issues, hiccups and laughs. You won’t be disappointed.

Most events start at 8pm and finish around 10:30pm but check your ticket and any marketing ahead of a specific night!

Absolutely! We aim to have a fully licensed bar at all our events, so you can enjoy a drink while having a laugh.

All Amuzin Comedy events are strictly 18+, and photographic ID may be required. Please drink responsibly and respect our venue staff.

Oh, and don’t try to squirrel your own booze into our events. Thats just rude!

Of course you can buy additional tickets in a single order. If you are lucky enough to have friends, please feel free to purchase as many tickets as you need. You may have a large party and we will endeavour to seat you together. Please get in touch of us ahead of the event if you require this.

We do however; have to stress that with limited numbers of seating in most of our Comedy Clubs, only purchase tickets you intend to use! Don’t be greedy, you can come back for more…

If you’ve booked tickets for friends or family, you can either arrive together or share their individual eTickets with them in advance.

There is nothing more off-putting to an Artist than trying to raise a laugh from an empty seat!

Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your tickets! When you book online, your eTickets are sent directly to your email inbox and are also available through your Amuzin account. There’s no need to print them. Simply show us the QR code on your phone when you arrive, and we’ll scan it for quick and easy entry.

If you can’t find your email or access your account, don’t panic! We can look up your booking using your name or order details and check you in manually. However, this can take a little longer, particularly when we’re busy, so we always recommend having your QR codes ready before arriving.

Please remember that all Amuzin Comedy events are strictly 18+. Photographic ID may be required, so please ensure everyone in your party meets the age requirement to avoid disappointment at the door.

Our aim is to get everyone checked in, seated and ready for a great night of comedy with as little fuss as possible!

All of our Comedy Club venues cater for the disabled unless otherwise advertised. If you have mobility issues and are concerned about access arrangements, please get in touch and we will endeavour to ensure you are included wherever possible.

We have a number of framework agreements we can employ to ensure you are happy to host one of our Comedy Clubs including ticket sales, artist payment and facility hire.

Please get in touch and we will discuss any local arrangements or concerns you have prior to securing an event or advertising you as one of our Comedy Club Venues.

For nights incorporating new act/new material spots, we aim to cover a portion of your travelling expenses, for these spots we may pay £10 towards your expenses, however; for small venues/audiences we may not be able to offer any recompense other than free promotion or mic time.

For our professional acts, we aim to provide a competitive and fair fee for your work, we are fully transparent with our fees.
